1. Today is Dia de los Muertos, aka the Day of the Dead. We had our annual remembrance service at church, complete with very Mexican decorations. I stood up early on and talked about Evelyn W. and Dan R., the folks from work who died in the past month or so. By the end of the service we'd heard plenty of memories and the altar/table was full of little votive candles. There were also signs around the sanctuary noting famous people who'd died during 2008.
2. David Cook and his band (Andy Skib and Neal ("Doctor") Tiemann (both from MWK, David's former band), Joey Clement and Kyle (oops, why don't I know his last name? The drummer) seriously rocked Saturday Night Live last night. I was hoping DC would get to show off his theater/comedy chops in a skit (Night School Musical would have been a good one) but meh, I guess not. Anyway, as much as I like Light On, the first single from his upcoming album, I have to say I am wondering why RCA didn't pick this song, Declaration, as the first single. Word Nerds, whaddaya think?

3. And now to go pick DD up from visiting at CH's place. I'm glad CH is finally ungrounded; DD missed her a lot.
