Not my day
1. So the weather was sort of... yucky...today. About 40 degrees F and FOGGY all day. I don't seem to deal well with fog; most of the day, every time I looked out the window, I thought I was going to fall asleep. I think fog gives me headaches; it certainly doesn't help my mood any.
2. Add to that the fact that I had to sit through 2 sort of complicated meetings. One was with 4 other people but we held it in my cubicle because we needed to look at stuff on my computer. The other was in a small conference room with windows. The first meeting suffered from lots of extraneous noise, mostly from people talking LOUDLY on the other side of the cube wall. The second suffered from freaking contractors DRILLING on the concrete floor above us, sporadically and loudly. GAH. I am sooo tired of working in a building that is continuously being renovated.
3. I was looking forward to singing in the Thanksgiving Eve choir tomorrow night until I heard the weather forecast, which involves SNOW (our first snow of the season) at rush hour which, naturally, is when I have to drive across town to go to the rehearsal and concert. We're only expecting 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches - and I'm sure that everyone will have forgotten how to drive in snow since last spring. Gah.
4. Of course Darling Daughter neglected to tell me that she has a NEGATIVE balance in her school lunch account. So I have to put some money in it tonight. Another minor annoyance. Good thing I'm going to bed soon.
