Today we toured Valencia (just for reference it is actually pronounced Balencia by Spaniards, since they really do not have a "V" in the language) We walked from the hotel to the market and had free time to explore while there. So, I  was messing around with some graphics tonight. Not done that in a while. I still need to get the book for learning Pixelmator by Amazon.com I used Fotor to make these collages and I guess they aren't too bad.

We got up for breakfast early again today and headed out to wander the first part of the day. Our scheduled tour of the Palace wasn't until 11 am. So, Hugo took us around old town Madrid and some of the more modern areas as well ( Read more... )

We got up early and had breakfast as there was a long line the day before. I had gotten there early yesterday too but made it extra early myself today even. Hugo had told us all to get there early. we set out for the metro that would take us to the Atoche station to leave for Segovia. We saw the moorish palace Alhambra today en Granada y then we ate lunch. We walked back to our hotel to catch our driver. We started to Madrid. We stopped in La Mancha, where Don Quixote was from ( Read more... )

Ok morning, March 26. We didn't have to get up real early or anything but I did because I wanted to get some good breakfast. So, I took my bags and put them in the room downstairs. I ate with the bus driver, Tony. He speaks no English but no matter we communicated ok. I had two cups of café con leche. I love that café!! I thought more of the group ( Read more... )

Where to begin! Well we got up in Toledo and had a very quick breakfast and headed out to the bus and off to Sevilla.

It was a 5 hr trip. About 2 hours in, we stopped at a rest stop and grabbed a few things. I bought a small bottle of olive oil y saffron. I will add more details to this later but we moved on after about 45 minutes.
