Getting over a cold...
been dragging all week. Started with the sneezing, then the post-nasal drip, then the congestion, then the coughing. Phooey. Been drinking gallons of hot lemon, my MIL's favorite cure. Simply heat up some water, pour it into a cup, and add as much lemon juice as you can stand. Sip it down and it does wonders for your symptoms.
Meanwhile, I did read Philip Pullman's latest addition to the His Dark Materials world, a short and entertaining story called "Once Upon a Time in the North." Very handsome little hard back edition, with woodcut illustrations. I love my local library!
I did get out to the yarn ministry meeting last night. People brought in stuff they'd made for our fundraiser sale, scheduled for Nov. 1. (I'm sorry I'll miss it, but I'll be in Des Moines working over that weekend.) Tons of stuff already done, and 4 weeks to go! And on the Special Olympics scarf project, there are 4 done, several in the works, and several planned to be started after the sale, so we should end up with quite a big bundle to send in!
