Hey... anyone. Whoever is there.
So yesterday it's officially confirmed Kalafina has disbanded.
Honestly I already knew it since last year. What with Kajiura Yuki out of the company, Keiko out in April, Hikaru also, and Wakana going solo... all I feel yesterday is sort of numb...? And resignation.
Honestly I admit I don't really have a clue about the thing with Space Craft, only the gist of it that may or may not be just rumours, and I don't really want to care about it anyway. Since I have decided my main fandom is Jump, other things are delegated to surface news and releases.
It's still somewhat heartbreaking, no? And with Hikaru having her own personal twitter, her acc got tagged in quite a bit of questions last night I see... please leave her alone, she's already out since last year. What can she say anyway, what more can she add when the announcement is already that clear? Wakana too. I personally opt to wait for official announcements. Or if they choose to say anything. Pushy people are annoying, and I also don't like being pushed.
I never really talked about Kalafina much here, right?
Since I get Jump stuff here (LJ) mainly. Anime stuff I can get at other places.
Let's see... when I first heard about them (and Hikaru asked about this on her twitter sometime ago 😊), it was Kuroshitsuji. They sang Lacrimosa. That was... 2009 I think, at least when I discovered them. So I've been with Kalafina slightly longer than Jump haha 😅
But before that I've been following Kajiura-sensei because I was and still am in anime fandom. I said so many times that I love music and soundtracks so her works are no exception. So I was happy knowing that Kajiura-sensei is behind Kalafina.
My favourite song of Kalafina is, forever, Sprinter. My go to song when I get overwhelmed, when I need to refocus, a calming song for me.
My first single with Kalafina is Storia. I remember they were promoting it when I first got to know them.
I actually rarely follow girl groups, because well... I find most of them sound the same, and some show too much skin. Maybe a tad too loud and chirpy, I'm not quite comfortable with that. I know people want freedom to wear whatever they want, but overly exposing skin is also awkward to look at, for me? I mean, clothes are invented and fashion changed almost everyday, what's the use of that then?
I think I said something about this on male side in a post before. I am uncomfortable with it.
Ok. Whatever.
But Kalafina...
Since they usually sing anisong, what reached me first is their voice. And after that, their aesthetics. Their PVs. Something like otherworldly or fantasy. Seeing for what they sing those songs, that is understandable. I am in love with most of what they wear too, they are modest and stylish. PV costumes are also... what was it? Dreamlike and gorgeous? lol. Anyone play Romantic Diary?
Actually, I wished some day I could go to an anime event and maybe meet them if they're there. I guess it's impossible now.
Well, I guess that's that.
Sensei hasn't been idle, she's busy with FictionJunction Station and her own works and projects. I wish her all the best and I'm still following her.
Wakana is officially going solo, and she's doing great. She also sometimes update that twitter Wakana_official herself. Just look for sharks lol. When she go こんにちWakanaです I just go "aaa so cute~🌸🌸🌸"
Hikaru also has her own twitter Hikaru_0702_ and sometimes when she asked questions I answered haha.
And I miss Keiko.
Oh well.
Today is supposed to be White Day, March 14, a.k.a. YamaKeito Day lol 💚❤

I wonder if he bought the calendar and read that last question? Or if the members send it to him? When is the next break in semester I wonder... so I can somewhat anticipate if he update or not.
Ahaha... I miss Keito and I miss Keiko. Hope they're well.
