Snow Day in Portland, Part 2
It has snowed so much! I think at least 6 inches, but in a city that is essentially totally unprepared for snow maintenance, that's quite a lot. I'm sitting on my bed, looking out the window and watching people try to drive their cars down Everett. Even with chains on their tires, they are sliding around a bit.
I woke up this morning before 9am to the sound of my dear neighbor banging away at his drums in the basement. The sound is pretty muffled by the time it gets to my room, but I can still hear it.
I lazed and dozed in bed until 11 or so.
I woke up, made an egg and cheese sandwich and some tea spiced up with egg nog and nutmeg.
I think cabin fever is starting to creep up on me.
I actually started cleaning up my room! I'm listening to the "zero limits" book on tape for the n-th time, so cleaning seemed like a good thing to do while I listen. I've put some clothes away and tidied up a bit. I still have more cleaning to do, but you know, I had to write this live journal post.
