I was looking at a "manual of common words" that was lying around, yesterday.

I don't just mean that you spell homophones the same. I mean articulatory phonetics, at least a little? If you look at the shapes, it's a "mountain curve" for K/G, a flat line for M, and a relatively teeny vowel-loop for "E". Wikipedia and Omniglot say nothing about ( Read more... )

I learned on Quite Interesting last night1 that there is a rhinoceros2 in Asia.

1 Yes, they get small things wrong3, but I would hope nothing as big as a rhinoceros. Also gragathaz confirms them. Indeed, he mentions tapirs4. In Southeast Asia.
