So much school work.  So much clinical work.  So much work work.  I have a couple of days off next week (Monday and Tuesday) so hopefully I'll be able to get caught up on some of it...

If one more person, says the phrase "seems like you're always sick" or something of the sort, I'm going to fucking stab them.  Seriously.  I find it irritating.  I know they don't realize that I have Lupus and therefore 'sick' means something different to me than sniffles from allergies or a migraine, but it's infuriating.

At school today we had our clinical instruction meeting.  As a direct result, I had my first panic attack in 3+ years.  I managed not to pass out, (or do anything equally embarassing) but I did have to excuse myself from the room to get some air.  Altogether, the first 2 hours of the meeting were fairly unpleasant for me.  Eventually, as with all ( Read more... )

We tested off on our first set of skills in the simulation lab yesterday.  I did really well on everything and felt very comfortable until blood pressure time which was my last skill of the day.  They have us using a two step method, palpation of the brachial artery previous to inflation of the cuff, then we inflate the cuff up until the point that ( Read more... )

The weather here has returned to the average temperatures for April, which is good, because I really would like some Spring between my winter and summer.  My arthritis is somewhat unhappy about the 30 degree drop that happened overnight, so I'm a bit creaky today ( Read more... )
