The last entry about Tennis, I promise =P

It's hard to express how happy I am now. Chile has won to Gold Medals (Doubles and Singles) in Tennis and one Bronze Medal (Singles). My country had never won a Gold Medal before. We have a couple of silver and bronze ones, but Gold, never. Much less two in the same discipline.

And now, Nicolas Massu and Fernando Gonzalez have given us that glory. We are not very used to Glory and that's why the country has been paralized thanks to this. I'd day that at least 70% of the people have been plugged to the TV this weekend watching the three matches.

The first one, between Gonzalez and Taylor Dent... Incredibly long. Gonzalez have been playing the whole week, two matches a day, one for singles and one for doubles. His strength is amazing. And yesterday he had to won 16 games in the third set to win the Bronze Medal. An hour and a half later, he was playing  for the Doubles Gold Medal with Massu against the Germany team. Again, a really long match. But in the end, Chile won.

And today, Massu played against Mardy Fish in a 4 hour long game, and he managed to beat him. Despite he is incredibly tired. It's the first time the Chilean athem is heard like that in the Olympics. And it was exciting to see people from Greece, Australia, Sweden, Spain and all over the world cheering for Chile and celebrating with us. So maybe you can have an idea of how the things are here now.

People are in the streets with flags, cars pass by honking, everyone is celebrating this success. We've screamed so much than I can hardly speak. But it's been worthy.

I want to save this pictures here to remember this moment later:
