Somewhere in Mexico: Thursday, early afternoon

Feeling ever so slightly seedy, Jack relaxed on the balcony of the hotel suite with CJ's laptop, a pitcher of mimosa, and breakfast -- alone, his failure to either come back or call the previous night not having gone over well. It was with something barely approaching patience that he waited while the computer booted up and found a net connection.

A little warm, glowy feeling settled in his gut when he found email waiting; he managed to convince himself it was from the mimosa. Luckily it didn't interfere with his ability to type...

I knew you'd terrorise them - they should be worshipping you as a demigoddess - it's no more than you deserve. Your trip sounds eventful, and I think I might know the culprits responsible for that paint job. Hope you got pictures - I want to see them. Sorry about your father, though. Or not.

Of course you're pining for me. Face it - what would you do without me? Luckily that goes both ways.

Mexico is interesting - it's warm and the people are friendly. Some of them are extremely friendly. I know, I know, TMI. Sorry.

I'll be back on Sunday sometime, I don't know when yet. Probably late. If it's too late I won't darken your doorstep until Monday. But expect me sometime, 'cause ten days is a long time to go without an Isabel visit.
