I survived and actually enjoyed my tutes today, but whoa, things are starting to get complicated. I've got a resume for a costume shop ready and waiting, but I can't really send it with any confidence until I know my real availability for each week, which I won't until the Ormond tutorial timetables come out. I really don't want to go to them, I mean, I don't need help in my subjects, some of them are barely human science let alone rocket science.
Yesterday in BTP:
Tutor: Can anyone tell me what just happened then?
Everyone: *imaginative, analytical answers to do with focus*
Tutor: No.
Guy: Er... she sat down and he stood up?
Tutor: Correct!

Yes. And today in Hollywood (which is the short way of saying Intro to Hollywood and Art Cinema, for future reference) I ended up being the really annoying person who monopolises all the questions. Can I help it if I know the answers? Anyway, our tutor in Hollywood is doing a PHD in Film and TV, specialising in sci-fi and fantasy shows, which is truly cool. She put up a picture from Supernatural and I was the only one who recognised it, what's with that? Anyway.
Creative Writing tute was AWESOME. It's what I've been missing for the last two years. The IB should be taking NOTES. We had to read out one of our '50 word responses' of which we were meant to write four based on one noun. The one I read was this:
Music
In total silence I can hear it in my head
Expressing ecstasy in dulcet tones
Or sorrowful but resonant, instead
Forlorn and aching melody of bone
Accompaniment of temperament
It has my voice but is not mine
My lullaby, my beautiful lament
A beat of footsteps, always keeps in time
Which after I'd read it I realised was totally depressing XP But Mr. Pretty (hee) seemed to like it. Then we had to write a response (four truths, four lies, four surreal statements) about someone else's noun, and then he made us write for 10 minutes without stopping about what we were thinking at that point.
NOTES, IB, NOTES.
Going home tonight, after student service in the kitchens *groan*. But yay. I'm a bit worried that something will happe (like I get appointed choir librarian and have to sort through the music before sunday afternoon) while I'm away, but I suppose I'll get used to that feeling.
