Day 1

Day 1 of Uni (ie. real work)

Got up an hour early by accident but couldn't be bothered to get breakfast (I'm THAT lazy). Eventually made my way down to the Arts centre, (which is at the furthest possible point from Collgve without being in the VCA), by route of the bookshop, with Mat, and bought my subject readers. By scary cooincidence, these readers are the SAME COLOURS I used to a) colour in my timetable and b) buy workbooks.

BTP lecture 10-11
Lecturer: 'What is theatre?' 'What is theatre studies?' 'By the way, this semester we are mainly going to be studying the play Medea... anyone heard of it?'
Me: *headdesk*

Came back via Union House and spent a long time drooling over the food court. Borrowed a book from RW Library, which I have now almost finished. *sigh*

Visual Media workshop
Learnt a bunch more names which I will have forgotten by tomorrow. Learnt about photo collages, which is the topic of choice for the first four weeks. At least this is better than Medea *thumbs up*

Came back and mucked around/read because I didn't realise I do actually have reading for tomorrow. Have only just discovered this at 10.00. Oops. Had first non-fancy formal dinner, ie. just robes, nothing extravagant underneath.

Chapel service yesterday was quite good from what I could tell, although us freshers were a bit confused by the format and were quite suprised when the last hymn started playing and we hadn't even rehearsed it. Anyway. At some point I will take a picture of the maroon robes that are our uniform. They have POINTY HOODS. Matt/or/Daniel pretended to weild a lightsabre, and that's exactly what they look like. Hee.
