Ow!

Need more proof that I'm 80? Here it is. I hurt my back at work today while I was decorating a Christmas tree. I wasn't even twisting or kneeling to stand or anything, I was just bent over a wee bit to place some lights and when I tried to stand I felt a sort of snap in my lower back. I cried out in pain and fell to a squatting position and my eyes ( Read more... )

I threw my back out because I sneezed once. And I was, like, 22.

Ice and heat! Ice and heat! And keep moving a bit-- staying completely prone will just make the muscles seize up more. :P

I hurt my shoulder last week by sneezing. Stinks having glass bones and paper skin. I've been trying to keep as active as I can. I feel better when I move, but it hurts at the same time. I know it's not good to stay in one position too long, but hurting this much is exhausting.

It is a muscle in my lower back. My co-workers say they know my back is broken because I have a crack. Stupid, but it made me laugh, which made me hurt more ( ... )

So, you threw your back out, eh. Maybe you'll end up being one of those people that don't get well for like a year, or maybe you'll never get any better. I threw my back out one time. I couldn't even stand up straight. It happened at work about half way through my day. It hurt to talk because my voice would vibrate my back in a bad way. But, when I got of work I had to go to the mall because Civilization 3 was on sale, so I hobbled through the mall bent half over. Honestly, it took me about an hour just to walk about 100 feet to the store and then back to my car. When I got home I souped myself up on these pain killers that I got from the dentist awhile back. It took me forever to stay asleep because I stop breathing when I'm on pain killers so my body wakes itself up. Then I start having these crazy dreams that I can never remeber good enough to tell anybody about. Anyways, I woke up the next day and the pain was gone. THe point is. . . squat, don't bend. The legs are a very powerful force. . . trust in the force. Sorry ( ... )
