• absolutely loves playing soccer.  most of the kids on his team have played a few seasons so he has some catching up to do, but he is improving each week.  best of all, he's having tons of fun!
• got the Royal Gaurdsman CD for his birthday and plays it over and over in his room.  Snoopy vs. the Red Baron is one of his favorites of course

there was a major winter storm over this past weekend. technically it wasn't a blizzard, though it was darn close! we had over a foot of snow and it seemed like everything was shut down for almost 2 days! it was exciting and beautiful.

last week with CILC we went swimming at the countryside YMCA. all the kids and moms seemed to have a lot of fun ( Read more... )

baby audrey is 2 years old today! here are some pictures of her rocking out on her ice cream cone mic yesterday. i had some video but they didn't turn out for some reason. anyhow, she basically sings Oh Susanna. "Oooooooo Suna, don for me"

Cloverbuds in February was all about the senses. We learned about our 5 senses with an interactive story and then with a hands-on guessing game. The kids sniffed cotton swabs and guessed what they were smelling. They tasted popcorn with various flavoring. They closed their eyes, picked a fabric, and described the way it felt.

• has stayed relatively healthy this past month considering the mess of illness around him
• spends most of his days obsessing about fighter planes
  
• vocabulary is growing tremendously.  today he said that the plane the Red Baron flew had good maneuverability
• prefers to stay home over just about any outing

audrey has had an eye infection for a few days now.  this picture doesn't quite capture how swollen and red her poor eyes are.  doctor says it should be clearing up any day now.  we certainly hope so.  she had been uncomfortable.  plus, we've had to stay home and i think we're all getting a little stir crazy!
