I'm too lazy to start dinner, so I'm writing a post instead.

My inlaws took Alex for lunch and then entertainment, so we got a bit of time to do...not what you think. We went to the hardware store, grabbed lunch downtown, and came home to clean some more.

Today was an excellent day. naiad8  made some excellent blintzes (crêpes with cottage cheese filling and boysenberry jam) for breakfast. There is nothing quite like slaving away in the kitchen on a lazy Sunday afternoon.  Yeah, I'm crazy.  I like to cook long and complicated meals.  It's relaxing to me.  Actually dinner wasn't that complicated, just took a while to make.  I started to make chicken stock at 4pm, which became the base of the tomato bisque.  I also made a grilled ( Read more... )
