Admittedly, this was the first year I had gone so I don't really have a standard to compare it to, so perhaps it merely didn't meet my expectations.

This was my first year too. I thought the main thing about the show was the ability to sample a lot of things. Nor do I normally buy gourmet foods, so it was good just to browse too.
With the Celebrity Theatre, I get the feeling that the chefs wanted to show that good meals don't have to be difficult.

I've been before, and I was happy to sample lots of things and got truffle butter and truffle mustard and lots of nuts and biscotti and all that jazz. I guess I just try and get show deals (sparking zinfandel and shiraz from Jarrah Ridge was awesome) as well as just boozin' it pretty hard. The Fifth Leg Restaurant was really good actually, $24 for a meal and a glass of wine is fine IMO because usually at convention centre you're paying bloody $12 for chips and nuggets.
