yesterday's yesterday, yesterday and today
Sunday after church (and btw, the sermon was amazing sunday, about seeing the work of God in others as an act of grace), Tego came and met me outside (my church) and then we walked to Hard Times Cafe where we met Krisztina and rocksizedheart and had some of the best chili i've had in ages. Prices are average, but they give you so much food. And their chili is wonderful.
Afterward, we walked back to Ballston and I was going to make everyone show me how to use the ATM, but it was out of order, so we just said goodbye there. rocksizedheart came up and we sat and chatted and enjoyed the view for a while before she had to go. Later in the evening Tego came over and we watched more of our shows.
Yesterday I studied Japanese with rocksizedheart at her office and therelic stopped by to drop of wagashi for rocksizedheart. She ambushed me with wagashi of my own: sakura daifuku which was JLKAFIEJ;AGE fresh and glorious and I have eaten it all (to which she would say 'GOOD. It expired yesterday'). The traffic was awful and heavy on the way back, and I got to Virginia Square maybe around 7:30. I stopped and got some groceries and walked the rest of the way home while talking to nihongofrancais through her TAing musings :)
Today I finished all my work around 1, and then made work for myself until about 2, 2:30 (like, shifting the library over a couple drawers because I might as well, and wiping everything in my cube down with windex because, well, i had to do something and tidying and disinfecting my cube might as well be it. Then I killed time with mycroftnext and occassionally roundaboutit via email, and read some news articles and prayed for 4:30.
Thank God I've got my class tomorrow morning, or I'd be making work for myself again until Sandra gets in at 10 (and I really don't know what else I can do at this point short of deciding to disassemble and reassemble my printer, which i think can only end in disaster). Shortly after my late arrival, most of the HHS will be doing its 'walk at lunch' day thing, and I'll get to go walk and get a free lunch and stuff :Dv
