the bus driver scolded me this morning for not having started my job search yet. ...the bus driver. scolded me. for not having started my job search yet. Somehow, i seem to collect people who need to scold me, or give me life advice, or whatever. Maybe i look lost and helpless?
but it's kind of nice to be able to have a conversation with someone. Him and the old man who rides that bus every day, somehow i've started talking to them regularly.
sitting in the sunshine on the grass with a couple classmates is fun. Heather made a pile of ..plant matter of some sort? it probably came out of the tree?, and bugs flew into my eye, and Sahr told funny stories about q-tips and mosquitos, and practicing touching her eye in front of the mirror because the people at lens crafters got sick of her freaking out.
Also, i'd just like to say for the record that i am not the only one who makes bad phonology jokes all the time and that yes, even phonology jokes can be sexual.

We've decided that once 6 hot guys propose to me simultaneously via song title, i'm going to move and become Hopi.
Language partnered. English. Today we talked about the guy who jumped off the moving shinkansen (her brother was actually on that same train. They didn't get back to Tokyo for hours and hours. since you know, a guy jumped off), gold diggers, and lawyer jokes.
I would definitely say that at this point her english is better than my japanese. Maybe even better than my english. I had a couple of english fails today, like when i could not, for the life of me, remember the word 'expert.' there was some extensive flailing as i went through a number of near synonyms trying to figure it out.
Today i finished my last class presentation ever. It is happy, and exciting, and weird, and doesn't really feel real, because I've never really done anything except school.
but it went really well, despite not having finished reading the article which is acting as my theoretical basis for the paper. <3
I'm a bit of a bully, so Koki/Yamapi, which mysteriously involves both backstage supply closets and. absolutely no sex. *blink* mycroftnext is talented beyond words, and i love her for it.
for my presentation i wore a new skirt i got when i was at home at the store with the confusing sign (sillyandmorbid knows what i'm talking about, and may even be able to explain it in a way that makes sense). It's black with red pinstripes, about knee-length, and is fairly close until mid-thigh, where it flairs out a bit. I like it a lot, even though i can never figure out what to do with that kind of ribon belt.
The store's sizes must run impossibly large, though, because i bought the size 4, and um. still fit in all my pants XD
