We started out a little roughly, but today was a good day.
Idiotically, I'd managed to get the time wrong in my head. Not the clock was wrong. But my brain was looking at 9 and thinking 8. So, i blissfully went to go catch the bus at 5 till 10. And then I looked at my watch at the bustop and went, "..wait. TEN????" and was incredibly late for class. Almost to the point of not going at all. I think i caught the last 20 minutes maybe, and only because he ran over.

JapAcq. was alright though, and the Clancy artical was interesting. It was about how Japanese mothers teach culture through language (and how it's different from what American mothers would do). Like, so say that you're in a grocery store with your little kid, and it starts making a fuss for candy. a typical american mom would say something like, "you're not getting any. so stop it." And a typical japanese mom would say, like "Everyone's looking. Aren't you embarrassed?" [when sensei asked me what my mom would have said (as an 'american mom'), I was like, well, she's Chinese, but she'd say "Stop embarrassing me." which is true, but also just so very Chinese it's amusing}

Then i met up with my language partner for the first time this year, and there was a Japanese language table (a very full language tables) where i got a muffin on the EAC&L dept and got to talk to a lot of people i haven't seen in a long time.
Apparently I look very different without glasses. でも似合うよと言ってくれたのでちょっと喜んだよね。Though I suppose no one would have said anything like "OMG, you look hideous. You should have asked them to burn your eyes out" so.

And i finally ate my instant indian food for dinner; it looked small, but I couldn't even finish it. *feels splody* So no okonimiyaki because thinking about food right now is just no.
And i'mma go do semantics and re-write the story again to the new specifications and post to blackboard like imma sposed to.

food 3, nikki no baka, hoya saxa, class, japanese 2, eigo, school 2
