More adventures in public transit

Aug 29, 2007 00:19

only this time it didn't involve getting desperately lost. Just a lot of sitting in moving vehicles. Yes, Nikki thought to herself, this is the way it is supposed to work.
I think i have decided, though, why it is that my commute is not nearly as enjoyable as I had planned--so much more bus time. With my habit of itsumo becoming 迷子になっちゃう、busses are just bad for my pocketbook. if i get on the wrong train i can just get off at the next station and get on a train that will take me back towards the right way. If i get lost on a bus, I have to shell out another 1.25 and there are still no guarantees that I'll make it to where I wanted to go.

I just spelled 'guarantee' all by myself correctly the first try!!1! Usually I just give up and go with a different word. I am so. awesome. sometimes.

doctor appt today. meh. that was about it
remind me to schedule my vision one, please, somebody, or I will keep forgetting and never get my check-up and that would be bad.

the entire commute back (40min by train and another 20 by bus la~), I thought about what I would have for dinner. I was kind of craving fried rice and as it's the thing i make most often, I figured it was also the thing i would be least likely to mess up after 3+ months of not cooking. So I get home, eat some pringles and make rice.
But then I decide, I'll save the fried rice for a time when I've got more random veggies lying around, and maybe have thawed ground beef; when i chanced upon the gyoza in my freezer.
So i grease up my pan, and. discover. ALL THE GYOZA ARE FROZEN TOGETHER. I tried many different things, but to make a long story short, I had grilled cheese for dinner, and there is now a giant plastic bag of gyoza sitting in my fridge thawing. :\ well. there is always 明日。

I think my code-switching is getting both stranger and more erratic. I'm like a code-switching sociopath or something. I, don't really know where that analogy came from, or. if it even works. but whatev. *doesn't care*

AND I FINALLY SAW 300! As a movie, i have to admit it wasn't my favourite thing ever. The dialogue sucked like Star Wars III, and there were just a lot of weird shots, that I suppose could be interpreted as artistic (like the lighting may have been), but they just didn't strike any cords with me.
As eye-candy on the other hand, yes, please! And. um. I lost my train of thought.
It was also fun to watch with my roommate (it is so weird to be at georgetown and not living with stillesprite! I haven't done it in years. sabishii yo~) and make cracks throughout the movie. roommate bonding ftw?
