Some people just can't mind their own business and have to lecture others about what they think is right/wrong....

Such was the case yesterday when I went with baby girl to the mall to pick up some clothes for the kids.  Minding my own business, I was waiting in line to pay when a woman (much older) behind me made a quip about my sleeve tat.

It's amazing how quickly the temps have dropped as what was supposed to be a pool party/bbq at my parents yesterday ended up being the latter as it was just too cold to be in the pool.  Still, we had a great time with many laughs enjoying ourselves before the kids heading back to school.

Didn't get the best sleep last night as I received an email officially announcing my departure from the company as I wouldn't be returning in the fall.  A few texts/phone calls followed from others wishing me the best as well as a long 'catch up' convo with Shay as it had been a while since we chatted.  A bit more stressed than usual planning her ( Read more... )

One thing for sure is that being on mat leave it's hard to keep track of what day it is and although I should be quite glee that it's Friday, to me it's just another day of the week.  Not that it's a bad thing, but a realization that how important it is for me to have a career and a job that I enjoy keeping me busy and my body and mind active.
