Today
Was very, very productive. Didn't quite get everything done that I wanted, but it was better than nothing.
Made the innards for the buttercream truffles, but that's about as far as that went today. Fixed fudge was cut and wrapped, and cookie bags were put together for NY and VA. Jerry came over, we had breakfast and talked, then went to mom's to pick up the mail-needing gifts and my holiday wax, then came back, finished out the boxes with the cookies, my cards for those families, and some packing peanuts. Sealed, addressed, and put those in the car.
We did a decent amount of running - Rite Aid, mailbox, Lamplighter (didn't have what I needed), Accent, Cannon's supplies, the mall (GameStop, Hallmark, Pottery Barn, Hickory Farms, Food Court, games store), Van Scoy (to get my rings cleaned), Modells, aaaaaaaaand the Kinko's/FedEx on Elkton. Lots of running. Everything's getting wrapped tomorrow, and the England package is going out if it kills me.
Came home, taught a lesson, jumped in the shower, got dressed, and went to play the Rotary Club gig at the Holiday Inn. Saw Kim from Jobies...wow. blast from teh past. Came home, futzed around on the computer while Scott played his hockey game for a bit, and then we put the tree together.

Talk about your Charlie Brown tree. I wanted a deal for $40, prelit...and man.
We're getting a better tree after the holiday when everything's marked down.
It doesn't look too bad, fluffed out and ornamented within an inch of its non-life to hide all the bare spots....but we took bets on how long it would take the cats to pull it down. The odds aren't good.
it's after midnight and I'm exhausted...and have just as much to do tomorrow. Nelson said he'd come keep me company and run around with me since he's got the time, so I should get to bed now so I can do stuff before he gets up here from Dover.
