The Aftermath
As predicted, I have enough leftovers to feed the whole family again for at least two more meals...
Which is what we'll end up doing once I get myself motivated to go down and pack up the stuff for mother and dad.
There is a stockpot on the stove since last night, reducing down to its essential turkey-ness and perfuming the house with oh-my-godness.
The finished bird ended up looking like this...
We loaded everything up into the car...
And laid the table when we got it to its destination...
A good time had by all...
...but today is better!
Today is what I'm thankful for--husband, home, animals, warmth, food, quiet, yellow leaves, blue sky, laughter, rest, sleep, coffee...
Life.
