I've taken an interest in dubstep lately. Really fuggin' awesome electronic music. Although I wouldn't be surprised if not everyone considered it music. Sometimes it seems like it's just a mass of noise.

I rediscovered this old favorite of mine while playing Rock Band on New Year's Eve. God, I loved The Offspring. Most of their songs (like this one) are fucking depressing, but they are just so addicting. I had quite the crush on Dexter Holland for a while. Does he remind anybody else of Zell Dincht?

I just got back from Distant Worlds, the Final Fantasy concert at Benaroya Hall downtown. It's the first time I've seen the Seattle Symphony live. And yet I've seen the Pacific Northwest Ballet numerous times. 'Bout time I went to the Symphony.

Hot damn, but I love the Crisis Core soundtrack. It retains the overall "feel" of the music from the original Final Fantasy VII, regardless that Uematsu Nobuo is not the primary composer for this soundtrack. Ishimoto Takeharu does a good job in emulating the musical atmosphere established in the original game, and incorporates many of Uematsu's ( Read more... )
