It's been almost two months since I last posted. I don't think I've ever gone that long between entries before.

I've decided to stop doing the weekly vocabulary posts. I'm weeks behind, it's gotten more and more of a chore to type them up, and I don't think anybody actually reads them. Plus, part of the reason I haven't posted ( Read more... )

It looks like my sister and her family are moving to Ogallala, Nebraska, because my brother-in-law got a job out there. That's 1,500 miles away from here. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. The thing I think I'll miss most is seeing my niece and nephew grow up.

So, I have a few things crossed off my list of media. One CD and two graphic novels. Not a bad start, I guess.

My mom's sisters think I'm sponging off my mom because we share an apartment. I find that insulting. I pay my half of the expenses. I'm not some adult child still living at home. They need to mind their own business. >:(

I rode home in a tow truck today. Mom's van just up and died in the middle of the road. Luckily, she has roadside assistance with her car insurance, so it didn't cost anything to have it towed to her mechanic.

I hope it's not anything major. We don't have the money for expensive car repairs, and I'm not sure how much her insurance covers outside of ( Read more... )

Just a quick update on some things that have happened recently.

My dad passed away mid-afternoon yesterday. It was pretty much expected at this point. He'd been sick for a long time, and was only getting worse as time went by.

I really wish my sister and her family would start living within their means. Mom says it's not really my business, but when they're constantly borrowing money, not paying it back when they say they will, and--here's the clincher--putting us in danger of bouncing checks, then yeah, I'd say it's my business.

Wow. Holocaust deniers are retarded. I ran into a few online a couple of days ago, and we got into an argument. They've now run out of things to say and are reduced to telling me I must be on drugs to believe the Holocaust happened.
