Went and had the ultrasound this morning. At first the lady said she couldn't detect anything and sent me to the hospital to have the Hida Scan done. I was pretty disappointed because the Hida Scan was something I didn't want done because they send radioactive chemicals through your body via an IV. Somehow radioactive chemicals in my body just doesn't sound like a healthy thing. Luckily when the Hida Scan doctor came out to get me, the Radiology department called up and said they needed me to come back for more scans because they thought they found something afterall. Down near the neck of the gall bladder...nestled nice and snug...was the little pesky gall stone, no bigger than the tip of my pinky finger.
HOW can something so small cause so much pain???
I still have to wait for Mrs. Piss (Dr. Bauman) to call me and give the official results next week. Which means I also have to wait before making a decision on how to treat it. I am calling on Monday to schedule an appointment with a recommended dr here in town.
My abdomen is still super tender and throbs if I walk a long distance or pick Ethan up off the floor but other than that, I am fine.
The rest of the day was nice. I skipped going back to work and spent the day with mom. She treated me to lunch at TGIFridays and then I treated her to an ice cream at Braums. We then bribed Julie with a double dip so we could rescue Ethan from daycare. Today was his first day at the new place...which is FABULOUS compared to the old place which was CRAP. When he saw mom and I at the door of his room, he stood up in his crib and began jibber jabbering and yelling with excitement. He's so cute and is the sweetest boy on earth.
