Thanks everyone who prayed or offered encouraging thoughts...cliche or not (wink wink).
I went to work today. When I got there, I found out that OU did get the contract!! Which is a HUGE relief now that all this health junk has come up. At least I know that I will keep the same rate of pay(thought it might go down) and my benefits will stay the same!
I only worked half a day today. It was just too strenuous to sit up and try to rationalize with people about their child support. Everytime I had a call, the caller was irrate and chose to direct their anger at me. So I left. The supervisors that I told were very understanding. Mena told me that technically I don't qualify for FMLA since I haven't been there a year, but she said if I ended up needing surgery, to have the dr write a note and there were ways to get around it. That is a great relief since I was totalling up all my hours this morning...two weeks ago I had over 46 hours of paid leave, I now have about 15.
I screwed myself up this afternoon. I was hungry for the first time so we went to Mc. D's and split a cheeseburger meal. I ate a cheeseburger and about 5 - 10 fries. The outcome was not pleasant. No more fries for quite a while. LOL
I got my brakes on my car fixed last night. PRAISE GOD!!! Dad knew what to do...needed new brake pads and new rotors. All in all, it only cost me for the parts...so about $125!!! I pray that if I ever get married that my husband is a jack of all trades like my dad. He's just awesome.
