(no subject)
My DM was supposed to come and talk to me about the promotion and raise today. She didn't.
She did call though to tell me that she hadn't had a chance to talk to the Regional Manager yet, which of course she has to do before anything can be finalized. She (my DM) was sick on Monday so she went home early. She was also sick today.
I talked to her long enough to mention that I would like to take Adrienne with me when I go to the new store. She was quick to point out that if I did that then there wouldn't be anyone left at my store that could work day shifts. Looks like that is going to be a no go.
She also told me that she needs me to go out there next Saturday morning and work the opening shift because there wasn't anyone to do it. I also have to work at my current store that day, so it could end up being a VERY long day. The following Monday I will be taking over at that store.
I got a phone call today from one of the part time associates at that store. She called me to ask me a question. She said basically "no one here seems to know what is going on and I keep getting conflicting answers, so I thought I would come to you." I felt all special and powerful that someone from that store was already looking to me as the manager even though the current manager still had two weeks left.
