I made it to Minneapolis just fine. Every city has its own energy and I have to say that when entering this city it was a very gentle, quiet energy. Driving through I rarely saw a person on the streets and it was eerily quiet for a weekday morning in what appeared to be a business district.

We went out last night with the intention of partying. Instead one of our group was sick and honestly I was tired and dealing with a nasty headache. We headed to Britt's for good beer and yummy food. We walked many blocks exploring Nicollet (sp?) St. and then grabbed a cab back to our hotel (the Courtyard Marriott at the depot). We sat in the hotel bar for a few hours and the alcohol made sharing stuff pretty easy. Fortunately it was just the boss, me and our friend/cohort Chris. Boss punked a few of the bar guys and her vivacious personality made our table the center of attention for the evening.

There's already talk of harder partying as the weekend goes on. With this group, there is guarantee of a good time, but I always end up drinking too much and feeling like crap at the convention table the next day. How pathetic is it that more than likely I will beg out and head back to the hotel so I can have mornings like today where I got up, worked out and ate a good breakfast before heading to "work"?!? Is this a sign I'm getting old?
