So, yeah, finally back at school after missing a couple days to drive to Boston for my tri monthly eye doctor's appointment. A nice vacation, but not as cool as when I had to fly across the Atlantic from France. Yeah, my doctor's just that special. Anyways, the good news is:
I can read the third line on the chart! WOOT!
You know what I'm talking about, those eye charts with a Giant E, then the next line is an P and an O, or something like that, progressively getting smaller. From about six feet away I could read letters
MAYBE FOUR TIMES THIS SIZE.
Okay, I'm still blind, but still I'm so proud of myself, maybe my eyesight is getting better . . . o_O
Nah, who am I kidding. ;) Just to give you an idea of how blind I am, my face is an inch away from the screen while reading what I just typed. This is why I get no fanfic done, because after about and hour my eyes and back hurt like hell.
The best part about these vacations though, is the cute little bookshop they have in the center of South Station. I absolutely love this place, the selection is limited, but GOOD. I always find something I like. So what was this month's impulsive buy?
Read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, by Michael Chabon. In the middle of it now, such a fantastic book.
Oh, yeah and HAPPY TOWEL DAY FOLKS!
what are you blind?,
