Here we go....
So I talked with my boss yesterday. He found full time for me. But full time is going to be in a different department. That upsets me a bit--mostly because the other department is going to be the cafe. Let me try to explain this to you all.
Cafe is one big huge clusterfuck. The laughingstock of the entire club. They are so unorganized, it's not even funny. They never have what they need, they have miserable people working there, and very poor leadership.
Mike is hoping that by putting me there, I can bring in a new attitude, and get things turned around a bit. I'm a little concerned. Either, I'm going to go in with a new attitude and change things around, or I'm going to go completely ballistic and shoot up everyone.
I have decided that for my birthday, I want a boxing set--a hanging punching bag, gloves, and hand tape. I'm going to need it. Seriously--that is what I want ::hint hint...this would be an AWESOME b-day gift!:: I've been wanting one for a while, but now, I do believe that I'm going to need it.
Two good things about moving to cafe: I get yet ANOTHER raise. I got one last week, and I'll be getting another one when I transfer. And two, after I work there for a bit, I'll have some major pull on what goes on in that department.
So yea. A little bit of anxiety on my end right now. Time to get ready for work--got called in early.
