So I started out, all on time and EVERYTHING, but the snow was just starting to flicker on as I filled my tank.
By the time I'd gone 20 miles on I-66 the snow was sticking hardcore and I'd passed 6 accidents, seen 3 people slide out right before my eyes and numerous ambulances and firetrucks had passed by me.
So I called up
mrshamill and said "Um, I'm from NEW YORK and the weather is scaring me, is it okay if I turn around now?"
At the rate I was going the drive was going to double to a 16 hour one and I was heading INTO the storm. So I am in Virginia for a third night and it's times like this I really like that I think ahead. I have an extra set of pants and an extra shirt and sundry and it makes me feel good that I have these things.
On the plus side, that means I was able to write my entry for the
International "How the heck did I get that bruise?" Day. You can find it
here. It's in two parts, but that should expand the thread for you to find it easily enough.
Can I just say that I'm SO glad this one worked out as delighfully as the last? This is just awesome. great fun and I cannot express how happy I am that everyone is coming to play!
For the record, if you want to know when I start planning for one of these but don't want to friend me (which is perfectly reasonable) the tag "weekend challenge" will now go on relevant poll and challenge posts. Cool?
