We broke 20 entries for the International "How the heck did I get that bruise?" Day. POSSIBLY we broke the last challenge's record! WEE!

Note: MY flist is weighted heavily towards SGA obviously but I'm totally aware of and fine with lots and lots of fandoms, old, new, in between. But my current reading habits don't necessarily reach out. HOWEVER if we pimp and encourage others to pimp, we'll reach a larger audience. And I'd truly like to make sure that everyone knows these challenges are indeed multinational, so to speak.
Here's a FIVE sentence (yesterday AND day) excerpt for what I'm thinking of writing:
Even from across the room, John could see the faint line of swelling across Rodney's back, but from up close he could see the line of already tightening muscles elsewhere on his back. His fingers brushed across it lightly, shocked at how warm it was compared to the rest of Rodney's body. Rodney's hissed and twitched away. John could see the bruise, faint and innocuous, already forming, but it was the puffiness, that reached an area abour four times larger than the circumference of the original injury that made him wince. Rodney wasn't going to be able to move tomorrow.
