It is cold.

When we left the house this morning it was, I think, -2F (-19C).  I think the warmest it got today was 6 or 7F (-14C).  I work downtown, near the Lake.  It's warmer here than out west of the city.

Our area has a wind chill advisory.  Because, well, yeah.

We went to four stores yesterday (that one I went to THEN got the kids). We found a lovely black and white dress for Elf. It was the ONLY dress in FOUR stores that had a girl's dress without Hearts! or Flowers! or Butterflies ( Read more... )

I feel totally behind on grading. And it's not that I've not done ANY...it's that there's just lots more to do.

Thursday and Friday I went with the freshmen on retreat out at Fullersburg Woods in DuPage Cty. ( Tromping through the woods with freshmen )

My daughter is systematically going through the four HUGE bags of hand-me-down's from kirbyfest's GG. It's like Christmas morning, but better.

"Mommy! A new dance dress! And it's just my size! ...Mommy! It's DORA!!! And Bob the Builder!"

She's now tried on like 6 different things.
