Clothes, shopping, garment industry innovations and fail
We went to four stores yesterday (that one I went to THEN got the kids). We found a lovely black and white dress for Elf. It was the ONLY dress in FOUR stores that had a girl's dress without Hearts! or Flowers! or Butterflies!
Ben we had success with at the fourth store: Sears. He now has a pair of dress pants, a long-sleeved white button-down shirt, and a TIE! It's blue and zips up rather than clipping or needing to be tied. Edit to move this where it belongs: The tie and shirt are simple and more elegant. He looks SO handomse and is SO proud. /edit
I have just ordered Husband a zip tie too, as he said he wanted one-that was simper and more elegant. He looks SO handomse and is SO proud.
For the past two days Elf has wanted to cut her hair off, so once she'd had time to think about it we hacked her hair and it looks tremendously cute, just a little more...SPECIFIC. It's had when 3 of he 4 houshold people never notice. She looks adorable, it has more curl again, and it is, once again, off her neck and out of her face, ETA: and I again went with the Parent Trap kind of concept. I think I did quite a nice job. /ETA
My grades are in, my tgopic sas too broac taht their writing remains superficial. ETA: I THINK that says, "my topic was too broad so that their writing remains superficial," but I have NO IDEA WHY. Ah, sleep typing. I WAS going to say that my stuff is gathered to be packed, I've showered, my room is packed, grades are in, EVERYTHING is DONE! Now I just have to hope that I'm not making my family's lives more difficult by being gone this week; it's a really bad time, but Husband says I should go since we don't know what's going to happen. /ETA

Tomorrow I'll go Lousiville, and I'll be there till next Friday, when I'm flying home. As close to death as Alice is, she doesn't need, nor does my family need, for me to be gone longer than planned or for us to take a sudden family outing. Maybe later in the summer and I could still will remember how good I feel now and get MORE exercise in. ETA: This last sentence was because I worked out yesterday. I need to do that MORE this summer. /ETA
