When I first started eating oatmeal in high school, my dad and I would share a variety pack from Costco. While I would eat a couple a day, he would bring a whole bunch to work to leave in his desk and eat for breakfast. My dad would always take most of the Maple & Brown Sugar ones, which I found were my favorite, too. If I wanted any of them, I'd have to keep a couple hidden in the pantry or complain about him taking all of them, which would start a fight. Is it ever worth it to fight over oatmeal? No, not really. I stopped eating flavored oatmeal when I started watching my sugar intake because one packet of flavored oatmeal has 12g of sugar, which is more sugar than there is in one serving of sugary cereal.

I almost threw a fit when I couldn't find any regular oatmeal in the pantry earlier today. Nobody else eats oatmeal from my Costco sized variety pack, but I almost freaked out that SOMEONE was taking my oatmeal! I started digging through the box to look for a blue packet when I realized that Costco variety packs of Quaker Instant Oatmeal come with only 5 packets of regular oatmeal.
