On February 3. Japan is SETSUBUN (traditional end of winter and the day before the beginning of spring).
In many Shinto shrines do traditional SETSUBUN festival.
I went for a festival.

At first I went to Yasaka-Shrine which Bean-Throwing Ceremony for two days on 2nd and 3rd.

It is KAGURA (god-entertainment, the dedication of the dance to God.) on the stage in front of the main shrine.

Maiko-san and Geiko-san danced, too.
I was enchanted by their beauty...!

When the dedication of the dance is over, They scattering fortune beans from the stage.
The fortune beans are dozens of Roasted soybeans in the small sack.

Maiko-san is pretty!  Geiko-san is beautiful!

In an intense scramble, I got nine parched fortune beans!

I shared several of the parched fortune beans which got with a friend and families.

The orange parched beans bag is lottery parched beans to be able to buy for 300 yen
in the precincts of Yasaka-Shrine.
I won a traditional Japanese confectionery
"NAMA-YATSUHASHI made with a black soybean and marron paste"!

I am considerably glad ♪

And I did a OMIKUJI (sacred lots = fortunes written on strips of paper).
The number of the sacred lottery which I got was the number 1!
I look number 1 of the Omikuji for the first time.
Of course it is Great blessing! stupid Dai-kichi! :D

Because I was very cold, I drank warm AMAZAKE(sweet alcoholic drink made from sake lees) on the way.
The maiko-san who came for support on the stage drank AMAZAKE to a chair of the diagonal next to me.
maiko-san is pretty! :)

And I will go tomorrow to Setsubun of Shimogamo-Shrine.
