TV

As much as I hate TV, I've been watching it a lot more lately than usual. Maybe it's because I'm paying part of the cable bill, so I feel I should get something out of it. Who knows? Anyways, this commercial came on. It was one of those government commercials. It was promoting www.ready.gov. It had kids on it asking questions like "mommy, if you're not home, should we go to the neighbors?" and stuff.. Then the announcer guy came on and said that everyone should have a plan in case of a terrorist attack. I find it disturbing that commercials are telling me to watch out for terrorists, as if it's something I should worry about in daily life. I don't live in Israel.. I don't live in a country where they have to worry every day about their survival.. or am I? I'm all for president Bush, because war is inevitable.. but what the hell have we gotten ourselves into? Do I have to worry about driving to the grocery store, because it might be bombed? What's next? This is why I don't watch TV..
