Today is the last day I can ever call myself a high school student. At 12pm I was finished with my last high school class ever. I stayed around campus for a while though because I didn't want to leave. I counted down the days ever since the first day of school. I waited for day for so long. Ami, Caitlin and I woke up this morning at 6:15 and tried to get ready for the day. But it didn't really feel right. It was raining and cold. We went to Bakehouse for breakfast and also to buy flowers for Ms. Slaff and Mrs. Hopkins. Classes went by quickly. A few teachers cried but I didn't see any students cry. Every classroom felt strange because I wanted to make myself realize it was end and most likely the last time i'd see that classroom but i couldn't get myself to realize the truth. After my classes, Ami and I went to the mall to get lunch. We got peking chef and brought it back to the library. Joe Culter came and had lunch with us. Yearbooks were signed, addresses were given out...all that good stuff. Caitlin said, "Well now we have to make an effort to see eachother." I suppose that's true. We rung the bell from the 4th floor of Swetland hall to tell the number of years we were there. Some rang it for 14 or 15 years. I rang my 4. There are some people I wonder if I'll ever see after graduation. I got Reka's and Jan's email and snail mail addresses. Jan is from Slovakia, Reka from Hungary. We talked about meeting up in Europe this summer if they happen to be able to meet me on Tina's, Lisa's and my european tour. I hope so. Kawa from Thailand won't be so far away. She's going to a school in Long beach, CA and while we were in the 4th floor girls' lounge we talked about hanging out someday. I think I'm pretty good at staying in touch with friends who i don't see very often. I'll be back to SEM soon next weekend for prom and graduation, but now it's time to relax at home for a while. I took pictures a few days ago of my school because I realize many of my friends have no idea what my school even looks like. I also wanted to keep them for my own memories.
