4 Days left!
I haven't updated because I've been busy lately and not bored anymore. But I'm tired. So here's a quick update of what i've been doing lately.
Tuesday night- Dinner out with the Mock Trial team. We did the running over the rotten banana ceremony and went for ice-cream. Quote of night by Jess, " I don't need to sign in for the dorms. The words AP, Exam, and Mock Trial get you out of everything." So true. It was a nice night and I feel like the team is now officially in Ross's guidance.
Wed- Society Day. Not as horrible as I expected. I did the surprise game which was limbo under a stick shooting out water. It was a muddy mess but I managed to only be beaten by Maria from Spain b/c she's just scary small. I was totally soaked but I got some more clothes from the dorms, so it was ok. Then the senior slide show was really really well done by DJ and Adam. Awesome job guys! It almost made me want to miss our class. We got our yearbooks on back campus and there was other stuff going on like a band playing and ice-cream but I had a better plan. Ami and I went to my Lake house of the night. We chilled out on the dock, and then watched a movie once it got dark. The house is a mess b/c walls are being torn down at the moment in the upstairs but it was great anyway, a little escape from school. Then the following morning we woke up, made pancakes while putting on facials and went to school. Yeah, we had to get up really early for that but it was worth it!!
Thursday- I can't remember what happened. Nothing special I assume. I think I sat outside and talked of the phone late at night so i could check out the stars.
Friday night- I hung out with Ami and Caitlin. We went for dinner at Olive Garden then wen't to Starbucks. We sat around and read girly magazines till be couldn't stop laughing from the strange articles. Then Ami said she wanted to do something else and that I'm the adventure one so I should come up with a plan. I took them to the Millie. They weren't prepared to walk through a tunnel, climb up rocks, or jump across streams. But once we got to the waterfalls I think they both enjoyed it. We just relaxed up there until it began to get dark. Then we watched a movie.
Sat- Up early once again! I had to go on the Marine Biology trip to New London. 4 and half hours of a SEM van ride. We went to the aquarium. I saw some fun stuff but it wasn't anything too amazing. Then we went to Mystic for Pizza! We walked around the town for a bit and got some ice-cream. After we went to UConn which was where we were staying for the night. We went out to the docks to gather some plankton to observe under microscopes. But then we had to dissect a squid!!! *gasp* Poor squid! I hate doing that. I didn't touch it at all, i just watched b/c it makes me really upset but i think I handled it ok from a distance.
Sunday- Took a boat trip in the morning. We dragged out those huge nets behind a boat to catch fish and other marine life. Then we had to get the nets back on board and search through the seaweed for animals. The fish and crabs, lobsters ect were all tangled up in the sea-weed. It was very cold and kinda rainy. I didn't have that much fun. We also did some measurements of different things like light, temp., all that stuff. In the afternoon we took a walk down to a marsh that was along the ocean. We once again took out nets to catch stuff in the water. It was nice to sit on the beach and we found some really cute little crabs and fish. We went back to school. We reached SEM at about 11. Around 11:30 I called Richard because I promised him I would. We talked till about midnight. I was almost falling asleep on the phone but I think it was worth it.
Today!- Last week of school has started and is 1/5 over already.
