Day 18 -- Shoes for walking and stuff
Just sent my buddy off in his car that can mostly steer. It's really amazing how much we rely on that whole power steering thing and how much we're put off if it stops working. Hopefully, that'll be the worst of his problems on the rest of the trip.
After the flurry of movement on the job front yesterday, I can no longer put off getting new shoes. I'm about to head out the door to take care of that.
The rest of tonight will be taken up with some relaxing, catching up on some things that slide when company comes to call and getting ready for tomorrow's informal interview.
The Hump Day Crush will be a day or two late. But I swear, I won't make everyone wait a whole week for the end of the prom story. (Yeah, I know, it's not at the top of your lists for "things you need to see"... but I need to finish it.)
And now, I give these old shoes one last trip before they're put out to pasture. Here's hoping I don't get rained on too much... looks like some clouds are rolling in.
