Title. Unlikely [Arch]angel
Author. trinipedia
Summary. After the somewhat-selfish archangel Gabriel meets his untimely demise by the hand of his brother Lucifer, he gains an audience with the new sheriff in town, Castiel. Gabriel's entrance to Heaven should be forbidden, but taking into account the circumstances of his death Castiel offers him a rather unusual arrangement: he will be allowed to return to Earth on a mission. If he succeeds, then both his wings and his place as an archangel will be restored...but no one said it was going to be easy.
Cover.
One of the first images that jumped out at me in this story was a cowboy hat dropping onto Gabriel's head as he stands gaping at his reflection. It was too good to pass up and thus, the cover art was born.
Headers.
All the images for the silhouettes were chosen from scenes within the chapter itself with help from the lovely author (some of the chapters were definitely harder than others). And while I ran out of time to improve Chapter 4, it is supposed to be a broken coffee mug. Sorry if that doesn't come across like it should!
Breaks.
The idea for the breaks came wholly from trinipedia, so thank you to her for the inspiration!

I had a great time working with trinipedia who was basically an artist's dream, giving me great ideas and feedback. In addition, I'd like to thank my art beta, the ever wonderful jujuberry136 who was ever so very, very helpful, as usual! I also got feedback from off-LJ people and thank them too!
Thank you to chosenfire28 and the rest of the mods at sncross_bigbang for running a fabulous comm. It was a wonderful challenge to pop my Big Bang cherry!
