Finally! After living in London for 15 months (i.e. long enough for 6 alleged "seasons") I can safely say that I've experienced summer.
It is PERFECT outside today... and has been for almost 2 weeks now.
See? Unfortunately, I'm inside, but I was just out for an hour for lunch, and it stays light until roundabout 10, so I'll be able to enjoy it.
I might be a nerd and pop over to Leicester Square for the X-Files movie premiere tonight. I heard it tanked in the US, but I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Mulder and Scully.
The flats I'm wearing have already cut into one heel and reddened one little toe. Ugh. I wish I'd worn flip-flops instead. Even my high heel boots are more comfortable... if I had socks.
I went for a run last night and have had a phlegmy cough since. It almost feels like the start of a sinus infection. DAMN IT! I should probably sign up for my National Health doctor and get me some free healthcare (that my taxes pay for). Before I'm back in the US and uninsured. Wheee!
