Learning to swim

Apr 12, 2014 16:07

It's been a while. I should post something. I'm a bit disappointed that I haven't written more about my experiences.

I've done heaps of cool stuff while here. Including, but not limited to: dating, museums, making new friends, making soul mate connections, meeting kinky people, meeting vanilla people, meeting weird people, meeting intelligent people, keeping in contact with Melbourne, being jealous, being sick, studying hard, having panic attacks, going to lesbian rope workshops, going out for drinks, getting lost in the city, exploring the design expo, trying to find free food and wine, having drinks bought for me, learning Italian, accidentally speaking spanish, skating, dealing with Italian beurocracy, going to  socio/political performances by porn terrorists (read activist), walking in parks, having aperetivo (Italian buffet!) sleeping, consuming olive oil like it's the elixir of life, watching soccer games from my bedroom window, stuffing ear plugs in my ears to block out the players while I sleep, finding markets, studying physics, painting, feeling melancholy, feeling like I don't want to live any more, learning to appreciate the small things, working out that most of my problems are due to my own thoughts, writing a list of the positive things in my life, doing the very best that I can to keep my head above water because no one is going to save me...
