I'm in shock right there with you. One thing (sure you figured this out) -- Sess gets made cuz she calls him "brother in law" or "older brother." Now he's related to a puny piece of human scum as well as a hanyou! Bwahahaha!

Other than that, page 26 is -- gorgeous. I wanted a kiss, but I will settle for this.

i guess.... but that's what i thought at first and then couldn't figure out why he'd be mad at that. your explanation makes more sense, but i still find that whole bit kinda strange. Especially Inu's reaction.

Onii-san means big brother or could be (as those so inclined are doing) translated to mean brother-in-law. I like big brother myself. Because... yeah, it would do Sesshoumaru good to have an annoying human brat thinking of him as an older brother.

Hm... so, to sum it up. Kagome and Inuyasha are trapped in a loveless marriage based on co-dependency, inadequacy, and mutual fear of being alone. AWESOME. No, seriously. I so mean that.

Er. not saying the end chapter, them getting together and such wasn't sweet. But, yesh! I finally can write unhappy marriage Inu/Kagome fic and it be sort of canon. *happy*

Why?

Because Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru are always going to pretend to dislike each other when it's obvious to everyone that they actually care a great deal for one another.

Kagome calling Sesshoumaru big brother pretty much suggests that the brother's are on friendly terms.

Neither is going to like that. Ever. Even if it's true. Even if the only reason why they continue to bicker is because it's the only way they can express affection for one another. (let's just hope that it's calmed to the point where they won't lose body parts)

i LOOKED for the asterisk. i really did. so just now i went back. went through all 34 pages again and looked. and i had to look for like 30 seconds before i found it. i SWEAR i wasn't skimming. I'm just stupid.

EDIT: by the way, my husband would agree wtih your assessment of my skimming habit. I'm genetically unable to notice small things.

EDIT 2: you think that's the happiest he's ever been drawn? maybe. It's certainly the most peaceful.

Tasks for tonight:

1. Re-draw page 26 because it's so... omg. I die of squish.

2. Draw a damn kiss that fits somewhere between page 26 and 28. Srsly. The only reason I wasn't upset at this ending was because I can draw my own kisses.

Also, I thought "oni-san" WAS brother-in-law. After all Souta was calling IY "Inu-oni-chan" for "older dog brother". Perhaps only "oni" by itself means ogre.

I don't think he's mad... I think it's more like uuuuuuugh that's my brother and you tied yourself to him blehhhh. What I get from this chapter is that they're on civil terms but still not basking in any brotherly love. :P
