Happy announcement time! A couple months back I submitted three of my poetry project poems to a NZ-based international poetry competition. 1. A few months ago, the city demolished a cute little area of greenery on one of the street corners. It had a wooden gazebo with vines and everything. Yay! Thanks to startoucher's indirect advice, I was able to get the info I needed online with minimal hassle and sent it back to the licensing office. The lovely Bronwyn just called to let me know everything's done and my temporary license should arrive in the mail on Saturday. I spent most of yesterday under a tree in the yard finishing up my current short story. (As a result, I'm red as a lobster, but that's beside the point.)
