Biking
Finally got around to bike riding this weekend. Haven't been in the saddle since 12/31/06, and I could tell that I was lacking practice. Last time I rode was a killer ride to the top of Potato Mountain.
Saturday went to Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, where JensonUSA was having a group ride. Those guys need to carpool more, as they took up most of the parking available. I was just getting over my cough, so the ride kicked my ass a bit.
Sunday I took my brother-in-law Josh to Marshall Canyon. That place never fails to deliver. I took it easy, and spent two hours in the saddle, I hope that today's rain will be enough to keep the dust down, but not too much to overflow the creek and turn the place to mud.
I finally had enough of my grinding chain noise, so after Sunday's ride, I took the chain off the stumpy and soaked it in Simple Green for a few hours, I'm going to test "Pedros Ice Wax" which is supposed to be ideal for dry to damp conditions, and has a "Self-cleaning" aspect to it. We shall see.
