wednesday so far
.. no eggs exploded (I cooked it on the stove, and yes, I've checked 20 times. Stove is off.)
.. no kids tumbled down the stairs (she nearly took a header down the steps about 2 minutes after my post yesterday, but Super Mom caught her in time)
.. no cereal dumped onto the electronics (coz we didn't eat any today)
Doug picked K up from school yesterday and she's lost another tooth! Her bottom one has been wobbly for some time - the one next to the two middles. Her top two front teeth (she lost those this summer) are coming in and now there's a new tiny hole on the bottom. I think she's adorable.
I've spent a couple of days recently helping my pal Judy. She had enough on her plate already, but now she's had a bad fall and torn up her knee. She tore her meniscus , MCL (medial collateral ligament ), and possibly the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). It's the kind of injury a football player can get with a hard sideways hit to the knee. She's in a big knee brace and faces likely surgery 6 weeks out (I don't know why the delay). Bless her heart. Her son does less than the minimum you might expect, and the family friend just ripped her off about $25 (she offered him $10 for gas for the 80 mile drive he gave her, and the bastage filled up his tank - plus bitched and moaned the whole time). She does so much for so many people, it breaks my heart to see folks not return the favor when she needs it.
Many prayers going out to our friends in southern Cal. I'm thinking about you folks.
