Well done SuperMom. :)

That stinks about being ripped off by the "friend".

Dominic tore his ACL and has had several knee operations now...she has my sympathy!

80 mile drive, gas costs $3/gallon, car is most likely to achieve 20mpg (unless it's a hybrid or has an unusually efficient engine.) that's 4 gallons of gas, which is $12 ... plus the joy of an hour of his time.

So, this shows that said 'family friend' is not, and would go OFF my list for that kind of thing.

She asked if I'd mind going to pick up dinner, since her son didn't bother to come home straightaway (his mom is only laid up and unable to cook or drive, so what does he do? take a 2 hr detour after work. jerk) ... I said sure. Since I'd bought dinner Saturday she insisted on buying dinner Monday and handed me her card.

When I got back, I told her I not only filled up the tank but also bought myself a leather coat (and sang happy birthday to me) and stopped by Toyota to order a towing package for my truck. Coz, I'm helpful and stuff ;)

Wicked grin Can't resist: what, no electronics for breakfast?

Seriously, prayers for your friend Judy, such a shame that she's got such a raw deal! Other prayers for So. Cal. & all the folks trying to stay clear of the smoke, flame & wind.
