The first is on Seriable: Almost Human Boss On Episode Order ControversyAnd has this list which shows where episodes stood originally as opposed to the order they were aired in ( Read more... )

I was actually just thinking that when the DVD comes out I would give watching them in the right order a go.

I've never heard of that TV show but it really does sound like they messed up hugely by airing it out of order.

I reckon we will see a difference next week and I am hoping that the order changes hasn't jinxed the show's chances for renewal completely.

Some people already DID notice that the episodes are "strange" and I even read on my f-list that the relationship between Valerie and John is going back and forth as well - although it's strange. Someone said, after them talking more and "growing closer" - shouldn't she be more upset that he had a bomb around his neck? But then again, if last episodde should have been 1x10 it doesn't make much sense anyways, because then their "relationship" should have progressed further already... it's definitely confusing ( ... )

and then they left out 3 whole episodes anyways
Bloody hell it sounds like they gave it absolutely no chance at all there!

the creators must have thought something by creating the episodes the way they did,
Agreed. Generally I think it is network execs who mess with the airing order of shows (although I'll admit I don't know that for sure) and I wonder if the creators are just as frustrated as we are.

I wish I could go meet Karl next month at that convention and ask him
That would be good although I confess if I saw Karl in person I suspect all I would be able to do is whimper and melt into a puddle of goo.

Thank you for posting these links. I've read about it being shown out of order but couldn't find anything to back it up. To be honest; I didn't notice. I think I was too busy looking at the pretty men to notice anything else :)

I've been watching the show since the first episode and while I really enjoy it I couldn't help thinking that something was missing. I think this explains it a lot. Things just aren't flowing properly. I can't understand why they're doing this.

Thank you for posting the links :)

My pleasure and glad they are useful.

I agree about the flow for example I remember thinking when watchin Skin how quickly John and Dorian were getting on and how it didn't sit quite right.

My brother watches the show too and said the same thing - that something just seems off. It's a shame that they're doing this because it's almost ruining the character interaction.

It does make you wonder how the relationship might have developed with the eps in the right order.........I'm just hoping the ones still to air work together.

I wish I had kept all the episodes on DVR now so I could watch them in order. The episode Skin does make more sense now because like you said their relationship seemed further along.

Also it makes me kind of nervous because the last show I remember the network running the episodes out of order was firefly and we all know how that worked out.

Thanks so much for posting.

It would be good to get that chance and I know I will give it a go when the DVDs are out.

Likewise I am nervous about them doing this, as you say the spectre of Firefly looms over the show when you see them messing with it like this.

I'm hoping that the last few eps flow somewhat at least, maybe with a plot arc and the out of orderness won't be too mcuh of an issue.

My pleasure.

FOX has a track records of doing this and moving around time slots. 'Firefly' and 'Space: Above and Beyond' were both victims of this.

though they did throw their support behind Fringe after they royally fraked that up. While I'm never one to sing their praises, they *did* have our backs for Fringe.
